How's May treating you so far?
April tested me so much, May is a bit better but it's still somewhere on the edge.
Why pretend that everything is fabulous at all times? We need authenticity (but not excessive complaining).
We need to focus on solutions, not problems.
To break the cycle. That's something the Ego does not expect : )
And learn from our mistakes. Test. Fail. Learn. Grow. Repeat.

I want to share with you how I handle fear and doubt, that naturally come at times.
We have a choice whether we believe it and spiral downward with it, or just let it be and focus on the silences in between these thoughts.
For that, I look at myself as a character, observing what's going on and I encourage you to do this too. It may seem a bit silly at first but it'll help you detach from what you feel or think and see things clearly.
I love my human. Marta is wonderful but sometimes she's afraid.
She feels something she thinks was caused by something external or that it has many different names: sadness, disappointment, anger, shame.
But I like to tell her: it's okay to feel that. It doesn't negate anything you dream of, it's a part of life.
All these emotions are really just fear. Fear is okay to feel. We just don't let it define us.
Fear is not a thing on its own. It's just lack of love.
Just like darkness doesn't exist, it's just the absence of light.
Love is the light we need in moments of fear.
So here is what I suggest to Marta whenever she feels something uncomfortable.
1. Notice what comes up and locate the emotion in your body.
(It may be in your throat, chest, neck, jaw, belly, pelvis etc.)
2. Let yourself feel the sensation and focus entirely on feeling it, without blaming, looking for causes or analyzing.
3. See that part of you that came up for you now.
(It may be a wounded child that was denied something and hid in the shadows since then. Greet it with love. Thank it for its presence, soothe it and yourself.)
4. Bring in the feeling of love. Shower yourself with it.
(It's the feeling you feel for your partner, best friend or even a pet. Bring it in.)
5. Redirect the feeling of love towards this part of you that came up, as well as the entirety of your being.
(Your body, mind, experience, breath - it's all you.)
6. Sit with this feeling of love until you feel whole again and relieved.

πΈ I hope this helps. Try it next time you feel something uncomfortable. Repeat every time to break the habit we worked on for decades prior.
